About the event
WNC Resilience Project Fall Convening
November 5, 2026 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM | Western North Carolina
Join educators, community partners, and WNC Resilience Project teams for a hands-on day of learning, connection, and collaborative problem solving.
We’ll begin with an Appalachian food preservation experience that brings together local history, culture, content, and community as a model for meaningful, place-based learning. From there, Learning Lab teams will share Change Ideas they are currently testing in schools across Western North Carolina.
Throughout the day, participants will offer feedback, make connections, explore emerging Bright Spots, and spend focused time moving their own work forward. The convening is designed to strengthen our regional learning network by helping educators and partners learn from one another, build relationships, and share practical ideas that can grow across communities.
