This is a case study in how to do high-quality, student-centered PBL in a virtual environment. It's an interview between Ben Owens (founder of Open Way Learning, a nonprofit helping schools implement innovative, learner-centered teaching and learning practices) and Adam Haigler, biology & environmental science teacher at Tri-County Early College High School in Murphy, NC. TCEC does wall-to-wall PBL in a competency-based environment and this is an example of the types of projects they are doing to continue powerful teaching & learning in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
